USB-C Power Analysis Module
Product Details
USB-C power analysis is now simple, with our high-performance, plug-and-play solution. Setup in seconds, with no need for complex probes setup.
By providing calibrated power data, digital sideband capture, and simple automation options, you can gain far more data on the performance of your host, device or charger.
- Does a charger and phone negotiate Power Delivery high-voltage charging?
- How much energy does it take to charge a phone?
- How much capacity does a power bank really have?
- How does power drain change with different apps running?
- How much power does a USB-C SSD take?
Across many test cases, our high resolution capture and long term recording gives you access to the data you need. Record for hours, capture direct to CSV, add custom user data (temperature, FPS or any other relevant data) to the same trace for combines power Vs performance analysis.
250 KHz VBUS sampling allows for highly detailed power usage traces. 1MHz sideband sampling gives full capture of CC assertions. When using lower sample rates (for reduced data to process) we still sample at the same base rate and average samples together. This ensures very accurate power results, even for the slowest sample times.
This product is fully compatible with Quarch Power Studio with its detailed visual analysis tools. It also works with our simple Python examples for fully automated testing. Software and automation libraries are included in the price.
Note: This fixture requires a PAM controller to operate.
