Graduate Electronics Engineer

Located in Aviemore, in the stunning Cairngorms National Park, we design and manufacture our products in-house with a skilled team of engineers, technicians and operations staff. We are looking for an ambitious Graduate Electronics Engineer to help develop our latest generation of products. The role will include all elements from specification, through development, testing and release. You will be working with a small, skilled team of software and hardware engineers and will own development activities through the entire product life cycle.  You will constantly be looking at ways to improve our products and processes, to enhance our customer offering and bring new ideas into the team. Our fast development timescales and dynamic environment offer developing engineers a fantastic opportunity to quickly gather experience and take ownership of their own projects.

Responsibilities

 

  • Product definition

  • Schematic and PCB design

  • FPGA/CPLD design and verification in VHDL

  • Signal Integrity analysis

  • Device validation

  • Manufacturing test development

  • Internal and customer-facing documentation

  • Supporting customers to get the best out of Quarch products

  • Root-cause analysis of field failures

 

 

This job is a full-time, permanent position, based at the company office is in Aviemore, Scotland.  Daily travel to the company office is expected, though flex-time is offered and occasional remote working may be possible.

 

Requirements

 

Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

You should have experience of:

  • Schematic design

  • PCB layout

  • FPGA/CPLD design

It would be an advantage if you have experience in:

  • SPICE simulation

  • High speed PCB layout (> 10GHz)

  • 3D-field simulation

  • Mechanical design
