Gen5 PCIe EDSFF E1 x4 Power Injection Fixture

Gen5 PCIe EDSFF E1 x4 Power Injection Fixture

Part Number: QTL2876 / QTL2877

Product Details

Gen5 PCIe EDSFF E1 x4 PIF allows a Programmable Power Module to inject power into an E1 EDSFF SSD.

This simple interposer sits behind a drive. In this way, the drive can be slotted into an enclosure as normal (though with a slight offset).  Unlike a scope and current probes, this is a true plug-and-play solution for power analysis and can be setup in seconds.  No additional cables are required because the drive remains within the enclosure’s cooling envelope.  Simplified setup reduces the risk of making mistakes and leaves more time for actual testing

The ultra-thin flex cable routes out of the enclosure and are connected to one of our range of Programmable Power Modules. You can now perform power margining and measurement of the drive while using it within its normal operating environment

Accurate and accessible power analysis data is critical to design an efficient drive.  The PPM range from Quarch provides high resolution, accurate measurements, along with simple automation options and a powerful graphical analysis tool in the form of ‘Quarch Power Studio’.

A PPM can be used to test voltage margining, ramping, brownouts, and crowbars by powering the drive. It is possible to apply almost any voltage pattern to the drive to test a wide variety of scenarios.

Versions

QTL2877

This is the standard version of the product, including injection sync.  ‘Injection sync’ monitors the host power and only switches the injected power to the drive when the host rail comes up.  This ensures the drive powers up at exactly the same time it would in the enclosure.

QTL2876

This version does not have injection sync, so power to the drive can be turned on at any time
