Adapting from AIC to EDSFF allows you to run the latest EDSFF drives direct from a host slot. This avoids additional adapters on the path which is critical for Gen5 signal integrity.
With the ‘breaker‘ in place, you can automate a huge range of tests. This begins with out industry essential hot-plug and physical later fault injection tests. These allow you to validate the enumeration, compatibility and reliability of the latest SSDs and controllers.
The AIC to EDSFF Breaker is considered a ‘Hybrid’ as it also supports use of a PAM add-in-board to provide real time (Coming soon!), calibrated capture of power consumption. Previously this would have required a separate power analyser which would require a much more complex setup.
In addition to power, the PAM feature can capture sideband transitions, giving you an in-depth look at the host to device interaction. Both power and sideband data can be captured by simple Python script or easily viewed in Power Studio.
