Technical Business Development Graduate

Quarch Technology is a world leader in test automation tools for the data storage industry and beyond. We work with the world’s biggest tech companies on cutting edge technologies for Data Centres, Telecoms, Self-Driving Cars, AI and countless other applications. Customers use our unique range of fault injection and power measurement devices to learn more about their own products and make them more resilient.

Based in Aviemore in the stunning Cairngorms National Park, we design and manufacture our products in-house with a skilled team of engineers, technicians and operations staff. This is a great opportunity to join an exciting company while also benefiting from the local outdoor lifestyle. If you prefer a larger place to stay, we are only 40 minutes from the centre of Inverness by train or car.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an ambitious candidate with a strong interest in science and technology. A degree in engineering or business would be preferred, but equivalent experience would be considered.

This is an entry level role, and a great opportunity for you to gain experience working across many business functions including design engineering , production , marketing and client management.

You will be someone with technical knowledge or is willing to learn about the technical side of our products to help support sales and marketing .

As part of this role you will work closely with our international partners. This will include an element of travel to visit customers, resellers and assist at trade shows.

Main responsibilities

  • Become a key point of contact for Reseller and partner support via email, online meetings and personal visits
  • Drive communication and information sharing between international regions
  • Maintain a management system that reports on reseller performance
  • Attend trade shows, reseller training and other customer events
  • Provide feedback to the R&D teams, to help them focus product development
  • Work with Marketing, to improve our documentation and communication

This job is expected to be a full-time, permanent position, based at the company office in Aviemore, Scotland. Hybrid working will be available provided the candidate shows good time management.
We would consider a part-time position for the right candidate,.

Your experience

You must have:

  • Good written and verbal communication
  • A positive and engaging attitude
  • Either a business or technical background
  • Permission to work in the UK and travel to the US and beyond
  • Knowledge of standard business applications including Excel

It would be an advantage if you have experience in any of:

  • Business development
  • Technology
  • Resellers and sales channels
  • Marketing
  • Training
