Project Manager (Electronic Test Equipment)

Quarch Technology is a world leader in test automation tools for the data storage industry. We are growing rapidly and now require an ambitious and motivated Project Manager to coordinate the development of innovative new test products.

 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and talented Project Manager to coordinate our development team in creating new products and sustaining our existing product family. You will manage our multiple concurrent development projects, ensuring that products are delivered on time to a high quality standard. You will take an active role in the development of the product roadmap.

The ideal candidate will be great at managing multiple concurrent projects, will be comfortable in an engineering environment and enjoy being a key player in the company’s growth.

This position is based at the company headquarters in Aviemore, Scotland. This is a stunning area to live in, providing a great mix of outdoor activities and easy access to the city of Inverness.
Main responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day management of multiple concurrent development projects
  • Identifying and managing risks
  • Allocating tasks, setting priorities and ensuring the highest quality output from the team
  • Providing significant input into the future direction of engineering effort
  • Improving development processes

This job is a full-time, permanent position but we are happy to discuss flexible hours at the start, if this would help you during any transition.

You Must Have

 

  • Great people management skills
  • Multiple years of experience working as an end-to-end project manager
  • Excellent English and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on the quality of your work
  • The ability to plan your time to balance multiple deadlines
  • Permission to work in the UK.

It would be an advantage if you have any of

  • Previous experience of the electronics industry

Electronics Design Engineer

Quarch Technology is a world leader in test automation tools for data storage and high speed interconnects. We are firmly established with major suppliers worldwide and growing rapidly. We now require additional technical staff to join the development team to design innovative new products within this rapidly moving sector.

The company in located in Aviemore in the heart of the beautiful Cairngorms National park. The town provides a peaceful setting and a large array of summer and winter activities, along with excellent schooling.  For those who prefer city life, Inverness (Europe’s fastest growing city) is only 30 miles away. Aviemore benefits from direct rail links to Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.

 

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Electronics Engineer to take a key role to develop innovative new products and assist with enhancements and support of the existing product families.

 

Main requirements

Electronic Design

  • Microcontrollers
  • Digital Electronics
  • Analogue Electronics

PCB Design

  • Schematic Capture and PCB Layout

Prototype build and board rework

Hardware testing, fault finding and verification skills

 

It would be an advantage if you have

  • Experience of High Speed PCB Design
  • VHDL and FPGA Programming experience
  • Understanding of high speed data interfaces such as SAS, SATA, PCIe, Ethernet, USB
  • Scripting and programming experience (Python, C, Java, C#)
